A long section, but mainly easy walking along railway trackbed, with Cairngorms views across riverside farmland. You pass through the forest village of Nethy Bridge, with its four Telford bridges and historic drinking fountain (pictured). The Way then follows paths through the Abernethy National Nature Reserve towards the RSPB Loch Garten Osprey centre. Afterwards it crosses the River Spey to Boat of Garten and goes beside the Strathspey Steam Railway all the way to Aviemore.
